Exactly what is Reno Night Market?  One of Reno’s newest monthly events makes its way to Glow Plaza Festival Grounds, described as a Cultural Kaleidoscope Where Art, Music & Community Collide!  Every final Friday of the month, the plaza becomes a pop-up market, with 35+ insanely talented creators showcasing their rad works of art. If you have the stamina and endurance to run at all hours of the day and night and have a fun group of friends who like to do the same, you may want to participate in the 18th Annual Reno-Tahoe Odyssey.  This very popular, 178-mile relay run begins in Downtown Reno at Wingfield Park and ends at Idlewild Park, making a counter-clockwise circle around North, West, and South Tahoe, into Genoa and Carson City, up to Virginia City, then back down to Reno.  Participants will be spotted during the ’round-the-clock 2-day event following teammates in decorated vans with spunky themes.  If you’re only up for a portion of this beast-of-a-relay, you may also choose to run the Capital Odyssey or the Comstock Odyssey.  For more details and registration, please visit RenoTahoeOdyssey.com.

Do you have what it takes to endure a trip by bicycle around the entire circumference of Lake Tahoe?  No need to worry… With three different ride options available, you will find the one right for you at this challenging annual cycling event.  The 72-Mile Ride offers the classic route circling the entire lake and offering breathtaking views and a variety of terrains.  The 100-Mile Ride takes the 72-Mile Ride to another level as it throws in an additional 28-Mile out-and-back-section to Truckee, providing additional challenge and mileage for avid cyclists.  The 35-Mile Ride caters to those looking for a less demanding experience yet still providing plenty of scenic beauty along the way. Bring together 18,000 ft.² of surface area, 300 volunteers, 250 gallons of paint, and what do we get?? A public work of art that brings a vibrant look and feel to Downtown Reno… It’s a special place where we can gather to celebrate our community!  Locomotion Plaza hides the train tracks below the surface, but on Tuesday, June 4 from 6 to 9 pm, it becomes a fun rollerskating venue!  Rent skates for $5 or bring your own to cruise around at Rollin’ Reno. The Pot Luck Truck will offer “Asian fusion cuisine with a Mexican twist,” The Tap Wagon will wet your whistle, and DipDeeStix will aim to satisfy your sweet tooth.
