THE ROW – DOWNTOWN RENO on SOUTH VIRGINIA ST
MANGIA! MANGIA!  That’s what my Italian Godparents and neighbors used to holler across the dining room table every Sunday afternoon (and several other days when we were at their home).  Not that we needed encouragement to partake in the feast that lay before us. The salami, prosciutto, mortadella, focaccia bread… Let’s just say there was never a shortage of food. Wonderful memories of the warm Italian culture… sigh.  Here in Reno, The Great Italian Festival, it’s all about “The Sauce, The Smiles, and The Taste!”  Highlights of this event include the Family Sauce Cook-Off, grape stomping, plenty of delicious food tastings, Kiddie Land, shopping with special vendors, live music, and the beloved characters on stilts.  Learn more about this awesome annual event at Caesars.com.
