EVERY FRIDAY THROUGH AUGUST 26, 2022 (4-9 pm) IDLEWILD PARKThe summer rolls on, and so do the amazing gourmet food trucks that make their way into Idlewild Park to tempt our tastebuds every Friday evening. Reno Street Food, AKA Food Truck Friday (FTF) rocks week-after-week, with pleasant evenings at comfortable Idlewild Park, located on the Truckee River, make dining outdoors a delight. Here, 45 culinary, craft beer, wine and spirits vendors gather with a new and improved layout (compared to past years) to serve up amazingly scrumptious culinary creations of all varieties. PIONEER CENTER for the PERFORMING ARTSCelebrate the art of dance, and perhaps adopt a pup in the same day, at Dog Days of Summer Dance Festival at Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. This new, three-night, free community event, in partnership with the SPCA of Northern Nevada, offers six northern Nevada-based dance/movement companies that have been commissioned to perform on the Pioneer’s outdoor plaza stage. With the iconic Pioneer Center gold dome and Nevada summer sky as their backdrop, each evening of the festival will showcase two companies performing a wide range of dance creations. During intermission, SPCA-NN will show off adoptable and adopted dogs from their organization.
