WHITNEY PEAK HOTEL – CARGO CONCERT HALL
Oh, Dear…. Straight from Wikiipedia… “The Snails is an American rock band with touches of post-punk, ska and reggae, based in Baltimore, Maryland. It is currently composed of Sandy Snailbelow, Snailliam, Sammy Snail (also known as Snamuel or Snammy), Snailburne, Snailbraham, Snailrell and Snailpril. As snails, they live in a Shoebox, where they like to play basketball.” Too funny! If you’ve been looking for a fun concert where to dance is not a choice. It will just happen. RENO LITTLE THEATRE
This 2016 Tony award winning “Best Play” blends drama and humor, a “dramedy,” and tells the story of the Blake family’s Thanksgiving dinner, where the heart and horrors of the fractured family are exposed. The New York Times describes it as “[A] blisteringly funny, bruisingly sad and altogether wonderful play.” The small cast of six will perform The Humans at Reno Little Theatre this Friday-Sunday and through Thanksgiving weekend Thursdays through Sundays. For more info and online tickets sales, please visit RenoLittleTheatre.com.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15 (9 pm)
GRAND SIERRA RESORT – GRAND THEATRE
Back in the day, comedian Bert Kreischer was named by Rolling Stone as “The Top Partier at the Number One Party School in the Country,” Florida State University. Now THAT’s an accolade to put on your resumé! As seen in the photo above, he is known for doing standup while unabashedly exposing his belly to his audience. The shirtless comedian hosts the reality TV show Hurt Bert on FX, and Bert the Conqueror and Trip Flip on Travel Channel. Check “My Body” standup by Kreischer about 8 years ago, and get your tickets to see him live in Reno at GrandSierraResort.com.

RENO RIVERWALK DISTRICT – DOWNTOWN RENO
Talk the talk and walk the walk at the Downtown Reno Wine Walk! It’s the popular monthly “wine crawl,” if you will, where participants check in at one of 9 Riverwalk Merchant locations and shop downtown businesses while sipping tasters of vino. Wine walkers will present an ID proving they of legal age to drink (driver’s license), whip out a Jackson (20 bucks), grab a map (ticket), a wristband, a wine glass and a partridge in a pear tree, and hit the town. Visit at least 5 venues, fill out the back of the map, return to your host location, and enter that bad boy into a raffle drawing. It’s loads of fun, so get out on this beautiful fall Saturday and enjoy! Visit RenoRiverWalk.org for more details and a list of venues.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16 (6-11 pm)
WHITNEY PEAK HOTEL – CARGO CONCERT HALL
Grab your earplugs and head downtown to Cargo Concert Hall for some brutal, head-banger, metal-core and death-metal music. The volume with be turned up, way up, when Atreyu and Whitechapel take the stage with hard-hitting beats, scorching-hot guitars and insanely powerful vocals. Listen to “Becoming a Bull” by Atreyu and marvel at how the lead singer of Whitechapel even has a voice left after a single song like “The Saw Is The Law.” Holy mackerel! I’m not even joking about bringing the ear protection. Tickets to this concert may be purchased in the lobby at Whitney Peak Hotel or online at EventBrite.com.
