IDLEWILD PARK
This is it… Sadly, the end of the Reno Street Food season has arrived. I fortunately personally frequented this event more in 2019 than in past years and enjoyed the heck out of it! With a cooler evening expected, you’ll find just the dish that will warm you from the inside out. Tote a beach or grass chair and a blanket, and snuggle up with your loved ones while listening to live music after your dinner! For a list of the vendors who will be serving , visit Facebook.com. Have fun!

NUGGET CASINO RESORT – NUGGET BALLROOM
Jet yourself back to the early 90’s when the Gin Blossoms rose to prominence with their sophomore album, New Miserable Experience and the hit song “Hey Jealousy.” The album went on to achieve quadruple platinum status and the popular alternative rock band from Tempe, Arizona then subsequently rolled out more fan favorites like “Found Out About You,” “Till I Hear It From You” and “Follow You Down.” Rediscover the Gin Blossoms and get your tickets to see them live at NuggetCasinoResort.com.

The group became famous in the mid 90’s with hit songs like “3 AM,” “Unwell” and “Push.” He also enjoyed 3 GRAMMY Awards shared with Carlos Santana with the hit song “Smooth.” As of 2018, Smooth is ranked as the second most successful song of all time by Billboard. Fire-jumping, slippery walls, rope climbs, a rolling mud course, the barbed wire crawl…. all are common parts of both races happening at Spartan in North Lake Tahoe. SATURDAY-SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27-28
GENOA, NV
Genoa City’s Candy Dance originated in 1919 when the town decided to hold a dance and midnight dinner to raise money for purchasing street lights in Genoa. As a party favor, and incentive (of sorts) for attending the party, candy was passed to the attendees. Fast-forward 100 years, and this old community gathering is a 2-day event that offers arts, crafts, live entertainment, food, fun and of course, the traditional dance and dinner. Learn more about Candy Dance, including transportation and parking, at GenoaNevada.org.
