THE FOREIGNER
THURSDAYS-SUNDAYS THROUGH JUNE 16
RENO LITTLE THEATER
This fun and funny farce from the 1980’s just happens to have renewed relevance at the moment. Through the goofiness of it all, there is a true reflection of the ongoing battle between closed-mindedness and open-heartedness in
Reno Little Theater’s production of
The Foreigner. Written by the late American playwright Larry Shue, The Foreigner features local actors in Reno’s volunteer-driven and longest-running community theater. Now located in Midtown Reno, you’re invited to settle in and enjoy the intimate experience at Reno Little Theater. For more info, online ticket sales and special offers, please visit

PIONEER CENTER for the PERFORMING ARTS
Fall in love with the queen of interviews,
Paula Poundstone, this weekend! The self-proclaimed “funny babe” dropped out of high school to bus tables at IHOP and worked as a bicycle messenger. She began doing stand-up at open-mic nights in Boston 40 years ago, then traveled across the US in the early 80’s by way of a Greyhound bus, hitting open-mic nights at comedy clubs along the way until she settled in San Fancisco. It was there that Robin Williams discovered Poundstone and encouraged her to take her talent to LA. Since then, she has forged a successful career as a comedian, actress, author, interviewer and commentator, and was honored by
Comedy Central as #88 on the 2014 list of the “100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time.”
HERE is a great old video of her being interviewed in 1993 about sex, junk food and life. Enjoy an evening with Paula Poundstone, and get your tickets at
