MacBeth Theatre Company presents its current creative production, Equus through Saturday, May 11.  Equus is a psychological puzzle that leads both a doctor and a patient to a complex and disturbingly dramatic confrontation, so if you’ll looking for comedy, you probably won’t find it at Equus. Canadian-Filipino comedian Ron Josol makes his way to Pioneer Underground’s Reno Tahoe Comedy.  He’s the most recognizable Asian comedian in Canada, and has gotten around quite a lot over the last several years on the Comedy Network, ABS-CBN Asia, Showtime Dubai, CBC, Discovery Channel, Echo, omni1&2, MTV Canada, and recently the Biography Channel Canada.  I just checked out this hilarious video of Josol doing standup at Gotham Comedy Club in New York City.  As the video progressed, I found myself just laughing harder and harder.  My stomach was seriously hurting.  Very funny guy!  For more about show times to see Ron Josol live at both Reno Tahoe Comedy and LEX, please visit RenoTahoeComedy.com.

It’s all about baseball at Greater Nevada Field!  The Reno Aces and the Salt Lake Bees are up to bat for this weekend’s 4-game series!  Here are the game promotions happening at the field:Saturday, May 11 (6:35 pm):  “Copa de la Diversión”  The milagro heart at the center represents love, while “milagro” means “miracle” and can bring good luck to its wearer. By taking the field as Los Corazones de Reno, the club is pairing its love for the community with the passion of baseball within Latino culture.  The first 1,000 fans at the game take home a Copa de la Diversión Replica Jersey.

RENO RIVER FESTIVAL

Rich Homie Quan takes the stage at LEX Nightclub this Saturday night with his chill rapper vibe.  If you’re a night owl and like to party, this may be the concert for you!  He’ll be on the stage anytime between 11:30 pm and 3 am.  He was born by the name Dequantes Devontay Lamar, and found a particular enjoyment in reading as a child.  While literature was his favorite subject, he dug creative writing classes as a kiddo.  That love for writing appears to have paid off, as his songwriting talents have carried him through a multiple released singles before producing his debut album, Rich as in Spirit in 2018.  Check out this video of Rich Homie Quan performing “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” and catch him live at LEX this weekend.  Get tickets at LEXNightclub.com.
