The Crucible. In a small American town, a group of young girls are found dancing in the woods, and mysteriously fall ill. When no earthly cause can be determined, the citizens suspect that a more sinister force may be at hand. Long‐held grudges turn to violent disputes, humiliating secrets are exposed, the line between truth and pretense becomes increasingly blurred, and the citizens’ dogged determination to root out evil turns more deadly than the Devil himself. Everyone is suspicious and no one is safe. Arthur Miller’s remarkable 1953 play, remains as relevant as ever and carries with it a stern warning about what happens when we lose our humanity and sell our souls to save ourselves. The Crucible plays through May 18 on select days. Visit Brüka.org for more details and advance ticket sales.
