GRAND SIERRA RESORT – GRAND THEATRE

Reno welcomes one of America’s iconic alternative rock bands, Pixies, to the Grand Theatre stage Thursday night. The popular Indie rock group from the late 80’s “pioneered a unique blend of guitar-driven, jangly, pop-surfer-rock with a grunge aesthetic, complete with cryptic lyrics.”  They formed in Boston and have been going strong for 30 years, producing fan-favorites like “Where Is My Mind,” “Here Comes Your Man” and “Wave of Mutilation” and influencing future bands like Nirvana, Radiohead and Weezer.  Catch Pixies live on April 11th and get your tickets online at GrandSierraResort.com.

STEVEN WRIGHT
SATURDAY, APRIL 13 (8 pm)

SILVER LEGACY RESORT CASINO – GRAND EXPOSITION HALL

Steven Wright delivers a full evening of deadpan comedy Saturday night at the Silver Legacy Grand Exposition Hall.  Having taken the stage to tell jokes over the last 4 decades, and doing quite a good job at it, he has been hailed by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the “50 Greatest Stand-up Comics.”  His distinctly slow, lethargic delivery of nonsensical jokes, one-liners, and anti-humor set him apart from other comedians in the business.  Click HERE for a good example of Wright doing his thing.  Want to see him live?  Visit SilverLegacyReno.com for more info and ticket sales.
